New CAr New Luck

perhaps it was fate, perhaps it was time to change luck...
it wasn't in my planning to change car yet..
but little apple is reaching her 3 yrs mark...and that means, the troublesome part of owning a 3 yr old car has arrived.
having to send little apple for inspection (not to mention u gotta pay for it) and let alone the depreciating value of a car from its 4th year.

due to the high COE, the take in value for 2nd hand cars has been on de pretty good deal. coincidentally i merely mentioned that i'm looking at a honda.
well actually my first choice is a honda civic, then again civic's come at a premium price...

it so happen that they have a pink honda fit that just came in yesterday..so i went down to view..n so de story goes.


yes, Drea confirmed the purchase of the pink Honda Fit n decided to trade in lil apple eventually.
THere's 101 reasons for this change but its for the obvious. Honda's a much more prestigious brand and value's higher than a suzuki swift. i'll have problems selling off lil apple de moment she hits 3yrs.

If everything goes well, i should have my new pinky fit next week..gosh i'm not even mentally prepared for it!

Weekend updates...

weekend was a blast~! a simple blast...hehe..maybe to make up for de slight disappointment for friday? just a tad of disappointment that didn't last more than an hour anyways..
cos i ish de understanding gf you mei you? lolx...

anyways, just some photos update for de beautiful weekend with uncle DD..-yeah that's his new nick, he's gona be known as uncle DD frm now....


Let's take a look. Drea went home and settled dinner on her own cos Uncle DD gotta work late and have his dinner elsewhere instead....
So with the left over soup from the night before.....

tadah! i self made it into tom yum congee...kekez....yummy......
I'd always prefered congee to rice anywayz...

Though Drea was all alone at home, Uncle DD rushed over as soon as his stuffs were done and bought Sundae for my dessert cum supper...hee..yeah~!!!

Saturday

The weather is so blardy hot and hazy la..grrr..what a weather..
it was so hot that....

even my pinkie tigger wants to take a bubble bath....ahahhaa...

nah, there were some plushies that's gone a tad too dark and grey from it's original colour that Drea decided to give each of them a bubble bath....i was done with all of them till de last piece, a huge white Zhu Zhu that i'm left achy arms and drained from any strength that i'd to call uncle DD for help...
when he came in, his first sentence was "why u wash this one also? this one can only dry clean..."
hehee..ok la what's done cannot be undone so he attempted to "murder" zhu zhu by squashing her in everyway he could and eventually leaving her out in de sun to dry..lolx...

After couple of hours of contemplation as to go out or nua at home, we've finally managed to move our asses and get out of the house for once....(most of de weekends were spent nua-ing at home cos drea is juz soooooo nua and lazy)

Off we went to PS, supposedly in search of a super late lunch and to catch a show...

took pixys with de uber retro sunglasses while on our way to PS! ahaha...Uncle DD ish so guai that he really wore the sunglass thru out de whole journey..*giggles**


Went for Uncle DD's favourite Teppanyaki for our lunchie cum dinner....

wanted to try the lobster meal this time round but shit loh, they're left with the last lobster set at de table, and they're cooking that for someone else already..JI DAN GAO!!!
anyways i'd the venison meat set while uncle DD took de Beef set that comes with de uber yummy and succulent Foie gras...ooooh lala..that was de creme of de toppa~!!
On a sidenote, the chawanmushi was quite specially cook too...it was poured inside this onion ring thingy...but cos it aint steam like de norm, it didn't taste as yummy and smooth though.

Being a Saturday, the mall's pretty crowded, considering the fact that the parking was full and i've to park a distance away all the way at Haw Par ctr (park mall there).
to make things worse, my sandals snap while walking back.!!!!
on de lucky side, i just bought a pair of new heels so i've spare heels to change but like yeah in de middle of a junction with everyone staring...=____________=

No movies to watch either cos everywhere is quite de fully booked...
i'm still glad we went out eventually, once in a while go out par tor then fun mah...ahaha...


went out with uncle DD to watch the man U match with his friend later the night at TPY central...where the previous Hog's breath was.
the place was taken over by..."i-can't -rembr-de-name"

it was a night of booze, snacks & ball for de boys...& for me..instead of de ball, i had Sally's Spa to play with de whole night..muahahhaah

A Nostalgic Place - Bubble Tea Hut

and this place is just so nostalgic la! used to go to this kind of places back in secondary school days for lunchie!! still remember back then, taiwan food and snacks ain't so commonly available.
Yes that was before Shih Lin Taiwan Snacks invaded Singapore.

We decided to give it a try...the food is okz not-too-bad and not-too-fantastic either.
give it a average bah....the bubble tea is quite nice just that it's a tad too diluted, would have been better if they didn't add so much ice in it.

though the food is average, the ambience and all makes the whole meal worthwhile!
we ate the above for like $19 for 2 person. quite ok la hor........

de Long Weekend...

Was on leave last Friday as it's PaPa's 49th day.
he came home for the very last time for the final prayers and then perished off with the rest of the offerings.

The monk was having such good business that he totally forgot that he did prayers for papa's funeral at our void deck..=____=

After all de nitty grittys, we pop over to Vivo for a lunchiee, mama been wanting us to try the crispy herbal duck at dian xiao er...so here we are...

the thing about vivo's restaurants, most of them are blessed with the beautifully scenery of the sea. and especially so at Dian Xiao Er, the whole place really looks like a 客站.


that's the family...hehz..mama, bro and da sao...



The food at Dian Xiao Er is really nice! the crispy duck comes with really crispy duck skin and the sauce with a tinge of herbal taste in it. this Dong Po meat they ordered is soft and succulent too with no disgusting Pork taste. as many of you would have known, i ish not a fan of PORK~!



in anyways, it was a lovely friday afternoon spent with the family, simple lunchie together...with a simple kopi session thereafter...


Bro loves kopi. he is one who knows how to enjoy life. So there were we, sitting at Garden's Cafe at Vivo, each of us with a cuppa in our hand, appreciating the kopi with cheesecake and this dark chocolate coated ginger snaps bought at Candy Empire next door.
(and this is despite he needs to rush off for work in de afternn loh)

The day ended with Bro dropping us at orchard where his office is, me went for my hair cut and whatsoever whereas mama & da sao went shopping.

speaking about the hair cut, i kind of hate how my hair looks like now la, rebonded my fringe so it's looking kind of flat and my fringe has been cut slanted which was what i wanted but i forgot to emphasize that i wanted it in LAYERS!
as you can imagine it wasn't done so in layers, so it's kind of chunky and straight and i look like a kuku now...Grrr....can't wait for my fringe to grow back.... guess i'm juz gona wear it long and swept at the side, that'd be so much more complimenting to my fat round face then the current style..GRRrRRrrrr


it kinda looked a tad better in the photo...maybe cos i didn't have my hair pulled behind as always....aargh in anyways i'm just hating how it looks now..

on a side note, we've got a new addition to our family! hehe this was supposedly to be Uncle Des's bday pressie too.....though it arrived a little late..hehz..

thought of the moment...

saw this advert on tv on the latest hokkien compilations album on all the hot tv series 主题曲 such as 我问天 etc...

i would had bought a copy of papa if he's still around, i'm sure he'd like it....

that advert triggered back memories of papa. coincidentally, it's his 49th day tomorrow.
i used to find his same daily questions every morning irritating.
every morning as i'm rushing off for work, he'd asked me the same questions.
"got bring hp? computer no need to off ah?"
same old thing just on a different day.

现在想听到也没有机会 了。。。

perhaps it's due to de 49th day ritual taking place tomorrow, i dreamnt of papa's funeral last night...can't help but felt a tinge of sadness when i woke up this morning...

the blessed thing was having uncle des giving me wake up call each morning, hearing his voice first thing in de morning comforted me somehow...=)

a favourable day

i always love it when mama's off and BB zavier will be over at our place...
it means i'll wake up seeing BB zavier, play with him a little before i leave for work and come home for a yummilicious family dinner after work..

and the best part is, most of the time, uncle des will join us for our family dinner too...wootz...which means i get to play with 2 BBs...hehez...the big one and the small one...

went home for lunchie earlier today since i've a meeting before lunch time that's near home...and i'm really so sick of eating out.
Mama was telling the maid "Andrea also poor thing, always eat outside eat until sian already" ya lohz..cos mama is either working late or over at bro's so her poor daughter has to settle her own dinner loh...


anywayz, was tending after BB zavier whilst they cook lunchiee...
tadah..happy BB zavier playing on my bed...

de moment i place him on my bed, he kept smiling...hehe..he likes 姑姑's comfy bed!!

BB Zavier seems to know when you're taking photo of him, when he sees me whipping out the phone, he'd give that ??? or expressionless look most of the time, hard to capture his smiling moments sia, must really take him off guard.

Else the moment he sees the phone, he'll stare at it and try to grab it away from me..Grrrrrrrr

a brand new day...

felt so much better already...certain habits need to be kicked.
certain activities need to be put in place.
thou shalt not be such a nua-er and try to go out a whee bit more often.

poor uncle des has been on the receiving end of my tantrums during this pms period..

An Invasion of Privacy

I'm sure many of you had read about the sagas that followed after an employer read what was posted on the staff's FB's or even blogs...or how wives discovered affairs via online postings.

Recently there's anor hoo-haa from a group of people that i know. coincidentally, i know both the boss and the staff involved.
The staff, a young girl posted almost everything in her fb, including her displeasures with work and even explicit dialogues with others.
The boss chanced upon her FB and obviously saw all those.
and then she got really mad and started spreading news about him Intruding her privacy..(obviously followed by throwing of the letter)

like..WTH?

with the internet these days, nothing you post or mention online is ever considered private. don't tell me there're still naive people who thinks that you can have all the privacy you want online?

When one chosesto comment or post something online, one must be prepared that there will be a chance of others reading it, including the list of people you least wanted them to see or read.

My friends, if you do think that something is very private to you and when others happend to read it, before you start accusing people of invading your privacy, please think twice.
if it is really so private and you mind people reading or seeing it, then don't post it online!

this is just some very general knowledge isn't it?

what's gotten into me..

was it the pms or was it other things..
been feeling moody...prefer to coop up at home than go out and meet friends, in this way i can choose not to talk when i don't feel like it, there's no need to patronise anybody in particular.

yes, the talkative drea can get lazy to talk at times too.

maybe i over-reacted today..

The same old saying goes, do not unto others what you don't want onto yourself. (ok i'm quite sure i got the phrase wrong somehow but who cares?)

getting sick and sian of life all over again...with work, with money, with the car with life overall.

something needs to be changed, i need to get out from the current situation.
