Family

U probably received this before, then again, it's always good to act as a reminder for most of us..somehow this brought tears to my eyes..

when i was doing this, i realised, the last family photo we had was during my brother's wedding and that was 3 yrs ago...i mean look at how fat i was u can tell how long ago that is..

back then, papa was still considered healthy, he can at de very least walk, go drinking..bla bla though he gets irritating at times but i'm sure he was so much happier back then..

looking at him now...somehow it pains me....

Babies & More Babies

All de cute little ones are coming out one by one..~!! Wootz..

first we'd de first bb of our de zhus family, princess kaelyn!

she came out so much earlier than expected. we're still playing WII & had a gathering at SY's and before we know it, she gave birth the very next morning. lolx.

weighing at only 1.7kg @ birth, Kaelyn is a healthy and active baby, hopefully she'll put on to 2kg so she can get discharge soon

And a day after our dear SY gave birth, anor friend gave birth to baby Lucas too. also a little premature, but this sweet boy was weighing 2.7kg at 35 wkz...

he look so sweet sleeping....very adorable boy...

So yea that was part of what i've been a little busy with, to the hospitals and ya there about..

i'm pretty sure the cute little ones inspired some of the ladies in the group to have a little one of their own too right? kekez....

short updates

yeah i know i haven been updating the blog once again.
but though i'm known as Ms Nua Tang and 'supposedly' to be very free, i've been pretty busy lately..
with some stuffs going on, birthdays, and the birth of the little ones..wootzz...

will be loading some photos soon, finally done with the editing for tabby's bday..
had an enjoyable Saturday with someone too...

had all my favourites! my fav steamboat (with ppl shelling de prawns for me...), my fav dessert @ bugis & the silly show i wanted to watch...*giggles**

de past 3 days was great, simple & enjoyable.
i was happy...thank u...it doesn't matter what's the outcome, happiness is always de most important factor of life...

Quarter Life Crisis

We faced this when we just graduate, not knowing what to do, what kind of jobs to try....

but at that time back in 2003, we do not have much choice. it was the down time after SARS and the employment market was so terrible!

through some han-tuming here and there..

I finally carved my path along the Marketing journey...

starting off as a recruitment consultant for 8 mths juz cos i needed a job.

Went on to 3 Beauties as a Market Research & Promotions Exec, got promoted while i was there venturing into biz development as well.

Yea that was a pic of de FAT me pinning some duno what award in 1 of the Beauty Pageants in KL - & yea you're right it's for some Ms Saree or sth..can't really rembr..=p

Moved on to AsiaPac as a Product marketing sepcialist, got promoted there covering product development as well.

Attended the sourcing fair in Guangzhou

HK & even Taiwan

Attended SMC Regional Conference @ Phuket

Gosh, looking back then i feel so god damn proud la, both jobs i got promoted and change of responsiblities. *PROUDS** & it involves flying a little here and there..

and then i decided to try sth different, i joined Canon as a a/cs specialist, doing mainly sales...

SHould i pursue my degree? I should be able to completea decent degree in a yr to 1.5yrs time.

Then again after working out the sums, it seems like it's not worth investing this kind of amount when it doesn't add value to your salary. (not much i think)

on top of that, some dilemmas am facing

1) Go for hair extension again

2) Nua @ Nishigo for a while

3) Find a job and move on

4) Sell Lil apple if i no longer have to top up cash

5) Get an iphone

6) pursue degree...

after a yr there, i realise, nothing much learnt, no advancement bla bla bla and sales is not my cup of tea..& so..HERE i am at a cross junction, facing quarter life crisis, not knowing where to venture from here.

JACK Neo, Singapore's most successful film-maker, has confessed to a two-year affair with a freelance model less than half his age after the young woman exposed it by showing up at his Pasir Ris semi-detached home.

Chinese evening daily Lianhe Wanbao said Miss Wendy Chong, 22, was upset that Neo, 50, had apparently lied to her and demanded to see his wife on Friday. Neo met Chong when she got a bit role as a nurse in his movie, Money No Enough 2, two years ago, and has a meatier role as Mark Lee's sister-in-law in his latest film, Being Human, which opened on Thursday, said The New Paper on Sunday.

The 1.63m tall model said Neo took her on trips overseas, including Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. 'I would go shopping while he work. After he finished his work, we would meet up and enjoy our time together,' she told TNP on Sunday.

Lianhe Wanbao said she had tried calling Jack several times on Friday but he did not answer her calls. She then went to Jack's home at about 3 pm and waited till he returned home. She told him she wanted to go in and talk to his wife, Madam Irene Kng, 46. To her surprise, Neo let her into the house and called his wife to come downstairs.

Chong said Madam Kng's reaction to her husband's affair shocked her. 'She asked me, 'What do you want?' She said that she did not care about who Jack involved with as she was content that she loved him.' The three of them later left for a meeting in a restaurant at Changi Airport's Crowne Plaza Hotel in a car driven by Madam Kng.

Jack admitted to Lianhe Wanbao that he was at fault, adding that he felt terrible but had been unable to end the affair as Chong had threatened to harm herself, and that he was worried that his wife could not forgive him.

A Zhai Nu Wannabe~!!

I'm not just a Nua Tang, i'm also a Zhai Nu wanabe..~!!

The weather's been terrible, and mama's been coughing for a while, so I've decided to cook this~!

Tadah! My 招牌 Apple White Fungus soupyy..

White fungus is good for lungs and with red dates, totally beneficial to the respiratory system.
So it's perfect for Mama & Papa, since he start to smoke again..

Anor bowl for Tabby since she's been coughing all de way from CNY and anor bowl for sm1 else with weak lungs...lolx


It's also extremely simple to makem here's all that you need:

1) Apples (duh obviously)

2) White Fungus (anor obvious one..)

3) Nan Xing/Bei Xing (known as Bitter Almonds)

4) Red Dates

5) Rock Sugar

If you're wondering abt the exact portions, sorry la this one same as my honeystars, i never measure portions, i use my guts feel! LOLx....

Bring water to boil, then dump in the apples, pre-soaked white fungus & nan xing bei xing.

Let them simmer for say 30-45mins, then add in your red dates and rock sugar to taste....

let it simmer for anor 15mins, and voila! Done!

oh ya, rembr to skin the apples and not use too much apples else it adds sourness to this dessert...

Officially a Professional Nua Tang

I've officially left Canon friday...instead of going out having a nice farewell and partying it away in celebration, i've been a good girl, homie on both fri & Sat....

mixed feelings?

hell yes, i was glad to finally let go of the source of the stress, doing things or facing or having to answered to people i do not enjoyed doing so.

at de same time, it felt kinda lost that everyday is gona juz be any other day....

perhaps going away will be a good for me to recollect my thoughts and get going once again.

i've no idea why my last day was so in a rush that i did not even have the time to go round saying my goodbyes to most of them and taking photos with them..however here're the precious few taken...
